At Caglia Environmental, your security is a priority. Recently, we've been made aware of phishing attempts targeting our customers, where scammers pretend to represent our company using fraudulent email addresses (such as those ending in “.info” or “.gmail”). These emails may falsely claim to be from Caglia Environmental, attempting to collect sensitive information or demand immediate payments.
How to Recognize a Scam:
Suspicious Email Addresses: Legitimate emails from Caglia Environmental will always come from the domain “@cagliarecycling.com.” If you receive an email from a similar but incorrect domain, such as “cagliarecycling.info,” it’s likely a phishing attempt.
Unusual Payment Requests: We will never ask you to make payments via gift cards, pre-paid credit cards, or wire transfers. Be cautious of any email or phone call asking for payment through these methods.
Urgent or Threatening Language: Scammers often create a sense of urgency, claiming your service will be suspended unless immediate action is taken. Caglia Environmental will never shut off service outside of normal business hours or without prior written notice.
Unexpected Attachments or Links: Do not click on links or download attachments from suspicious emails. These could install malware on your computer or direct you to a fake website designed to steal your information.
Authorized Payment Locations:
Please note that our offices are the only authorized payment centers for billing related to IWS, CARTS, and Redrock Environmental. We do not partner with any other utility companies or third-party services to process payments. If you receive an email or call directing you to make a payment through an external service, it is not from us.
How to Protect Yourself:
Always verify the sender’s email address. Double-check that it ends with “@cagliarecycling.com.”
Never provide personal or financial information in response to an unexpected email or phone call.
If you’re unsure about the legitimacy of a message, contact our customer service directly at the phone number listed on our official website.
Reporting a Scam:
If you believe you’ve received a fraudulent email or phone call, please report it to us immediately by calling us or contacting us online.
